Welcome to The Penny Executive Project blog! We’ll use this forum to provide updates on the project and as one tool for building interest and buzz as we approach the February 2023 performance dates. Foster is also the author of the play. We anticipate finalizing his contract in the coming weeks. The Penny Executive has been cast!
Asia Todd The Penny Executive has been cast! We are pleased to announce that the role of Maggie Lena Walker will be played by Asia Todd. Asia brings her blend of high spirits, inspirational movements, and reflective choices that we know will inform and inspire her acting and performance. Asia Todd is a senior at Rowan University double majoring in Theatre and Radio, Television, and Film. With concentrations in acting and directing, Asia has had her fair share of creating, collaborating, and performing in theatrical productions. Some of her most recent credits include Ways of White Folk ( assistant director/Mama in the short story Home), 21 chump street ( Narrator ), Plum Bun ( Rachell Powell ), and Little Shop of Horrors ( Chiffon ). With the majority of these roles being supporting and ensemble, Asia is excited to be performing in her first major role. Especially with it being one as special and inspiring as this.
